Post subject: Cuuting Wood Bindings

I have a nice Bubinga board that I want to use for guitar bindings. What is the best way to go about cutting these.

I usually use a fairly thin kerf saw blade on my table saw. They come out clean so I don't need to do much thickness sanding. Bandsaw is ok also just need a little more sanding

Thanks, Good tips. Does it matter if they are quarter or flat sawn?

I usually use pau ferro, east indian rosewood, maple or ebony. I haven't had a problem if it is not quartered.

The thickness of bindings do not lend themselves to movement. It is more of is an aesthetic issue. If it looks good, go for it!

Todd - I am thinking about cutting some solid linings with my table saw and Diablo blade (which I rarely use) - I respect the tool and don't want to do anything silly with it. so are you re-adjusting the fence by .06 every cut ?
